Starvation for Weight Loss – Worst Health

When a person is told to lose weight, the first thing that comes to mind is reducing the food/meal portions, or having only one meal a day, or replacing meals with a variety of juices day after day.  

NO – this is no solution for weight loss; in fact, it is the worst of its kind. Starvation or eating less than required, will take a bad toll on your health in the long run. 

Starvation Mode

When your body starts moving towards “starvation mode”, it will send signals to slow down your metabolism that is responsible for absorption of nutrients from the food you eat. When it slows down, your body will start storing more energy from food, and will not use the extra fat

What will happen then? 

There will be no weight loss; instead, you will end up with muscle loss and this can prove fatal to your body.

Starving for a long time will make you binge eat and consume more calories than actually required for your body. As a result, you will end up with tremendous weight gain in no time!

Healthy Weight Loss

Losing weight is all about taking a nutritious diet and exercising (cardio and weights) on a regular basis. You can keep Sunday as REST day. 

REMEMBER: With nutritious diet and exercising, your other lifestyle parameters should also be in place for everything to sync and work together towards good quality life.
